How did you guys know you were going into labor I'm 39 weeks and want different perspectives on how what to expect.

What were some ways you used to help with getting things started. I'm 40wks today!

I had mine the 15th. I was exactly 38 weeks and I had no signs really up until the night of the 14th I went to lay down and as soon as I got comfortable I felt a trickle of warm fluid and I thought it was discharge because I had white discharge my whole pregnancy but as I continued to walk around It wouldn't stop coming out then it started pouring lol and that's when I knew my water broke. I went into the hospital and I was in labor but I didn't feel pain until the next day when I was about 8 cm dialated. It wasn't that bad to me the epidural hurt worse than the contractions. I just had mine on the 21st I was 36 weeks 5 days but she weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long she came out and was breathing fine. I woke up Wednesday morning and had a bring red blood clot looking thing when I wiped it was 458 am and i started getting ready for the hospital bc i thought something was bc i was bleeding but as i bent over to get pants out a laundry basket i had a small gush of fluid which i knew couldnt be pee bc i just peed! I didn't start contractions until 530 am by 945 I she was born no drugs all natural birth! Good luck and I hope you meet your little one soon
