My practice says to come in (not the ER) when you're having contractions you can't walk or talk through that last for 1 minute, are 5 minutes apart, and it's been happening like that for 1 hour. (5-1-1 rule.) No need to rush in. Just relax. People almost always go in way too early with the first, not realizing that early labor can take a long time.

They say if you can't talk while having a contraction no matter how far apart to go in. At least that is my experience with having had 5 children.

Sounds like labor to me!!! My contractions never got regular and I was in active labor by the time I got to the hospital!!! :)...if you move around and walk etc and they are still never painful and don't go away your in labor girl!! Congratulations and remember they don't have to be regular...hold out until the pain gets worse

Eat light, you can get pretty nauseous once labor really kicks in. Eat something with protein and carbohydrates. Depending on how long you are in labor, your blood sugar can drop. I would try maybe a peanut butter sandwhich or some eggs and toast with maybe some fruit. Best of luck to you and pray it all goes smoothly.

Yeah I'm gonna eat cereal, I took a hot bath but my contractions are 7 minutes apart no diahrrea.... I'm anxious bur a little nervous now that the pain is getting stronger. And baby is moving making the pain more tense.

No I think you're ready, 38 weeks loss of mucus plug & contractions. You might have a little diarrhea as well. Don't forget to eat they probably won't let you eat or drink anything but ice one you are in :)

Yes this is my first baby and they seem to be getting a little tense and I'm feeling discomfort, I'm gonna take a bath and relax on some hot water. I got my stuff and the baby's ready to go. Is don't want it to be a false alarm : / and thanx.

Call your doctor. Is this your 1st baby? It usually takes a little while b4 you should go with your first.  I would get all your stuff in order take a bath & when they get stronger go. Congrats momma your almost done!
