How can I tell if I'm having twins?

well im around 7 or 8 weeks, but i gained at least 7 pounds in the past two weeks if notmore, i went from a zero to a 7 already. im gaining weight fast, am always hungry and thirsty. there are twins on my moms side of the family.. is there a chance im having twins? i havent seen a dr yet as i have no insurance and am looking for a clinic close to me.. i just dont remember in past pregnancy gaining weight this fast or being tis hungry all the time.. is it normal or a sign of twins?? can anyone tell me? dont know what id do without this website right now lol.

the only way to know is to get an u/s done.

Until you have a scan there is no sure way to tell if your having twins.if it runs in the family its possible.always being hungry is common in early pregnancy.I hope you get the answer you want.
