Im 'the mom' of a pg daughter, whos hoping to find a better pill than the one they gave me for vertigo so i can get rid of that **** befoe the baby's here. I havnt been in to dr's about it in years but still having bouts of it and hoping times have changed and there's something new and improved. Thanks, and congrats to ALL on their pregnancies......... It's so wonderful to be going through this with my daughter and have enjoyed sharing all your experiences as well.... thisbabysgrama
will do! I am feeling better today!! My sister is an RN so I called her and that was the first question that she asked me, was if my ears hurt or if there was any pressure!! I am not feeling anything, but I had a sinus infection a couple weeks ago, I wonder if it could just be effects of that still!
sorry... when i posted last night i was half asleep and litterally went straight to bed after typing it! no my doc didn't seem too overly concerned about it... but i forgot he did tell me to check will my primary care physician b/c it could be an inner ear problem. i haven't done so yet though... mine also comes in spurts and it doesn't usually happen when i'm in the middle of doing something. mine comes on actually while i'm already laying down! and when it happens i feel like my head is pinned to the pillow and i can't pick it up... ugh... its awful!!! if you get any more info on it before i do will you let me know???
When I was towards the end of my pregnancy..i had the same thing happen..it is called vertigo..my doctor did prescribe a anti-vert pill and also after doing much research I found out things that can cause it or make it worse...avoid salt, chocolate. msg, and caffeine. I also sleep with my head raised instead of flat..also, when getting up from a lying down position sit up in bed for a minute instead of jumping up. I would definitely call the Dr. Good Luck...Gia
Try some yoga exercises and breathing techniques. It really helps to keep you centered and balanced. I know some people think yoga is weird, but it REALLY works
Yoga dvds aren't very expensive and it would be good for post-natal too
I would def. call your dr. like I said it sounds like an equillibrium problem... It can easliy be treated with medication.
I didn't call the doctor, I know I probably should have. I am feeling a bit better now, it just comes in spurts!!
It sounds to me like your equillibrium (sp) is off.. Your Dr. might want to give you some medication that can help it get back on track...... That is also a common side effect of pregnancy, but usally early on......
this sounds like what i was recently asking my doc about, but your's sounds more serious than mine. honestly my doc didn't seem concerned but he had me go to the lab to get some bloodwork done. have they said they wanted to do that for you? i won't have the results until my appt on the 28th (unless they may get them in before that). sorry i don't have any answers...
