Just because of the pre-term stuff, I probably wouldn't go. I love road trips, and we have even taken a few with Jeremiah who is almost 3 and he does really well.
Have you talked to your doc about it at all? We really wanted to go away for 4 days next month to a place that's about 8 hours away, but we decided we would wait to go until the baby gets here. I'd rather deal with a newborn on vacation than worrying if I am going to go into labor or not.
I dont think u should go at all on what ive just read it sounds too risky, why do you not fancy a weekend at a caravan or something lol or wait until after the baby is born? I would on edge all the time and wouldnt be able to enjoy myself. Its totally up to yourself on how you feel about it gut instinct is always correct
Thanks I feel the same way, but also feel too guilty to tell my dh. He's so excited about not flying. Last year we had a horrible time with our flights because of all the baby gear and a cranky baby. He got into an argument after some woman who yelled at our 9 month old and slammed her seat back onto the baby. I thought he was going to get arrested on the plane.
Family road trip while pregnant? With a toddler? Sounds like a recipe for STRESS to me! Some people enjoy road trips but I don't happen to be one. I think flying to a destination and staying for a week OR enjoying a "staycation" at home in your own backyard is the way to go. Just my opinion.
