Anyone else promise their man..... ?

Question

I promised my man he could name baby if it was a girl..  Because I was dead set on jace or Jackson for a boy and he didn't like them...  Well I'm having a girl. And now he's dead set on naming her and every time I suggest a name, he says he gets final say! I laugh it off because I don't want to fight but inside I want to punch him in the face lol. I'm not naming my child that I carried in my belly for 9 months, a name I hate! And she's getting his last name! 

Anyway, he was set on zoey - I hated it but I wanted my boy names...  So I gave him zoey. When we found out she was a girl, I convinced him to love brianna more...  I didn't really love brianna but it was better than zoey..  Now I'm legit dead set on savannah.. I feel it's the one.  I call my stomach savannah and tell him that me and savannah love him..  Which is the first time I feel comfortable with a name..  I just picture our baby being a savannah. It's good because savannah is on both of our lists and he loves it too. But he keeps saying "I get final say".  Now I regret ever making this stupid deal with him! Anyone else promise your man a name & then you backed out?

he doesn't say anything really... he says he loves us too.. and i say, you love me & savannah, right? and hes like yes, i love you and savannah and he laughs.

lolol.. compromising is SO hard... savannah will be our daughters name... i just need to keep calling her that and eventually he will forget about other names.. men are very easy to train, lol... he was so set on zoey, since day one.. but then i started talking in his ear that brianna has the name brian in it.. and thats his name... which was also stupid because the more i thought about it, i didnt really like brianna either. but savannah was one of the names we had picked out in the beginning. i just kept changing my mind.. lol... i think even though i call my babe savannah and tell him how much we love him .. nd he just laughs and says, "remember, i get final say," i know he loves savannah too.. hes just mad that i thought of it first! but ill tell him to pick a middle name.. since we both decided on savannah.. 

if it was a boy... it would have been jace or jackson PERRY (his middle name) and his last name.

With our 3rd pregnancy we put the top 3 names we liked for our son in a hat. We shook the hat around and let our oldest take one paper out. It had the name Mathieu and thats what we named our little boy.

Yes! Awful ides...lol he was DEAD SET on Trace for a boy and I kinda liked it...but I hated it too lol So I talked him into changing it and he chose Hunter which I love and it gors with the middle name (I got to chose that) Mitchel. But now that his name will be Hunter Mitchel he keeps saying Michael....NO lol its Mitchel...

Lol is why me and bf picked named we agree on, he knows im really picky with names and hate almost every name lol. But he loved the names i found for a boy/girl and just made sure the boys middle name would be after his grandpa! So try to get a compromise. Thats the best you can do without both people getting hurt..

He had requirements for a boys name that o had to follow then we ended up picking one we agreed on and its a girl! I'm due in less than 2 weeks we still have nothing. He originally said I could pick if it was a girl he didn't care. So in my case he went back on his promise!

I dont like novah for a baby >< my dogs name is novah so its just ruined haha.  But just try to compromise.. hate when people promise things then back out its just a big slap to the face like "yeah so what i only said it to get my way" promise are giving your word and you would have kept the boys names so least you can do is let him pick. Just let him know if you dislike the name and ask if he can find something else he loves

Within a week of getting our BFP he picked out names for both...And I didnt have a say. lol He picked Madalynn Nevae for a girl and if its a boy he will be named after him...again. My 9 yr old is our Jr and he was thrilled that if its a boy its going to be named after him! I thought hed be jealous. With our 4th baby I liked the name Max but he said the only way hed agree is if we went all the way and named him Maxamillian. So we did lol. It fits this little guy to a T. I told him hes not George Foreman so I didnt like the idea of naming another boy after him. He just smiled and said "I dont care"

good luck!! try whispering it in his ear while he sleeps so he feels like it was his idea first, men are fairly easy to brain wash lol just when you tell people the name you chose make sure you throw in there that he picked it and did such a good job and you love it, EVEN IF THAT ISNT EXACTLY TRUE LOL eventually you will say it enough that he will completely believe it too and feel really proud that he chose it haha

ugh i made the same Big mistake lol when we find out we were preggo i told,my hubby he going to name the baby this time i already have a one year old baby boy nd since this pregnancy wasn't planned i didn't mind him choosing the name this time oh boy what a mistake a made causa the name he has i.really dont like at all i like the name Elias he doesn't like it he like the name jonathan nd i hate it we argued everytime i called the baby Elias nd he called the baby jonathan he always said he is the one with the.final decision nd since i will have a c-section hes the one to fill out the papers at the hospital ugh i really regretted it he even have the nerve to said lets bet..

Amazing how something that should be fun and exciting can turn into fights. My fiance and i totally agreed on my twins first names Sofia and Isabella, but he didn't want them to have middle names! I'm like are u kidding me our girls are having middle names!! We fought about it for the longest time and finally he backed down as long as he got final say on their middle names. They will be Isabella Mia and Sofia Anahi. We're both happy with it in the end so that's good. Lol
I felt the same way about that... seriously I'm carrying these babies for nine freaking months so I should have just as much if not more say in their names lol.

That is very true, lol. He keeps telling me I would have kept my names if she was a boy. And I'm sure I would.. It's very selfish of me but I think I have him set on savannah. I just know he will get so fed up if I keep changing he name.. But I really feel as if savannah is the one! I hope he doesn't change his mind later and just drops it because he loves savannah too!

Yes. We agreed that If It was a girl, I would name her and If It was a boy that he would name him. It's a boy, and all the names he likes, I don't like and juss can't agree on them, but he tells me he can name him whatever he chooses 'cuz that was the deal. But I said I'm carrying the kid so I should at least like the name. I absolutely love the name Braedon and I juss think It's the one 'cuz I had a dream of my son and that was his name In the dream. My mom absolutely loves It too and says It's a perfect name. But my boyfriend on the other hand says that's a do*chebag name and he wants somethin' else ( I think he's sayin' that 'cuz he didn't think of It, ha). So I feel ya, I totally regret It, 'cuz I really want the name I like, but have to compromise on a name I'm okay with 'cuz he won't budge lol.

I named my son jaice <3 but no promises are giving your word and all you have is your word, just try to have a name you both like, if your baby was a boy you would have named him its only fare.

we decided that if we had a girl her name would be Harlow Elizabeth, and if it was a boy he could choose cause he didn't like my girl name, BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!! first he wanted to name him Baine but that is the bad guy in the newest spider man movie and I just refused to name my child after a stupid super villan!!!!! I love the first name he chose (Parker) now but the middle name is Jerome and the name itself is ok I guess for a middle name, but it is my hubby's fathers name and he is a complete jackass and I hate him so much and don't want to name my baby after him!!!!!!!! he is so mean to my hubby but really nice to his other kids and I know my hubby wants to name our baby after his dad so that his dad will accept him and he thinks it will impress his father, but we have so many other people in our lives who deserve to have Parker named after them that love us and our 2 year old daughter and unborn baby Parker, but his dad is a jerk and my hubby is dead set on having it his way.......UGHHH
