doc check ups???

I was curious as to when do the doctors start to check your downstairs to see if you are dilating or if anything has changed? I am 36 weeks and my doctor hasnt been down there since I was 12 weeks. Also how often should my next appointments be? I am so confused...

The first time they checked me was 37 weeks and I was barely 1cm

They usually try to avoid checking you for as long as possible to not stir things up. You can ask them about it at your next appointment.

As for appointments, usually they're weekly at this point, but it depends on the doctor.

I believe at 36 weeks you start seeing your doctor every week. But every doctor is different.
