Baby Clothes Question!

How long did your little one stay in newborn sized clothing? For some reason, my boyfriend and I ended up with so many 0-3 month clothes and hardly any newborn. I was just wondering if I needed to go out and buy a lot of newborn things?Or if he could wear 0-3 and it just be a little bit big on him?  Doctor said if I go to full term,  I should have an 8 pound baby.

I've noticed some of the 0-3s are sized so small as well, that they'd probably fit a newborn. Thank you ladies, I've been stressing to get everything ready and I overlooked his clothes somehow lol

Newborn isn't necessary.  0-3 months will work just fine...it'll be a tiny bit loose but it's not a big deal.
My daughter was 6 pounds,  13 oz and wore newborn clothes for a couple weeks.  I chose to put her in 0-3 months so it was more comfortable
