Baby Shower???

I have set the date for my baby shower it is going to be June 19th and I will be 30 weeks. I choose have it this early so I can still have plenty of time to get everything that I don't get as gifts.  

I am wondering what is a good number of guests?

So far I have 22 people on the list and it's growing. Most of them are the fathers family members and a few of my friends. BF's mother wants extra invites to give to friends at work. Most my family lives in other states. I'm afraid there's gonna be a bunch of people there that I don't know.  It's going to be at the park so there will be plenty of room for everyone. I'm not worried about space.

This week is going to go by so slow. I have my anatomy scan on Thursday. I'm so excited and can't wait to find out the sex!

Ok I guess I will invite as many as I can and hope that everyone can make it.

Hey I am so glad that you have made it this far!! I won't be doing a baby shower this time (we are in another state and I don't know anyone) but I did have one for each of my boys and like the other ladies said the more the merrier! Less stuff you will have to buy later but if there are somethings that you don't get you will have plenty of time to get them and to get the nursery ready! I can't believe that time is going so fast for all of us!

Oh yea I had alot of people I wanted there, and trust me writing out all those invitations wasnt easy.  lol.. Good thing only about 45 people and like 10 kids showed up, cause it was crowded and I was exhausted just opening those presents and trying to make sure I talked to everyone, I didnt even get a chanch to eat that day, and we had to keep going to the store, cause we kept running out of stuff... Make sure your prepared, lol.. its not pretty when your not. lol... And yea I know how you feel I found out what I was havin at 20 weeks, and DF wouldnt let me buy ANYTHIN until after the baby shower, so I had to wait 12 more weeks to buy something, and then I got so much stuff at my baby shower, I still havnt got to go shopping yet, cause we dont need anything now lol.. The only thing I have gotten to buy is the pack and play and the car seat and stroller.  were set on stuff for awhile, Id say in about 3 or 4 months Ill get to finally do my own shopping, and I cant wait... Good luck Thursday, I have an appointment that day too. lol.. What are you hoping for?

wow 70 guests! I have been so excited about the baby shower and planning it. I find out Thursday if it's a boy or girl so I will be doing my registry next weekend. I've held off on buying stuff till after I find out the sex and it's killing me.  I've bought like 5 onesies so far.

yay!!! planning the baby shower is so far.. I had mine a few weeks ago when I was 32 weeks.  I kinda regret doing it so early, cause for the past couple weeks I have had nothing to do. All Im doing now is waitin for him to decide to come.  And like Joy said, the more the marrier, and the more presents lol... my guest list was 70 people but only about 45 showed up... Not everyone you invite are gonna come.. so make as big of a list as you want.. its your day!!!

However many you want! If you want a more intimate crowd then ask that only the people you want invited be invited. Otherwise the more the merrier! ;-)
