Baby showers ..

It's like now a days women throw their own baby shower.
My mom and friends wants to throw me a few but I know if they all get together , it'll be quite odd lol.
As in, something might go wrong, arguing and such.
For me to throw my own baby shower sounds like I'm asking for everyone to give me something.
You know?
I don't know.
What do you ladies think?
Before it was the mom or friends throwing a baby shower , now it's yourself ?

I must agree with the first comment , my mom and bf tried throwing me a suprise bday dinner and I had to come out my pocket with like $400 next they were bringing up my baby shower I shut it down at first but trying to do it myself became stressful even after I started planning MONTHS in advance I was so stressed out so I had to come up with a backup plan I planned out the details and theme etc and they just paid worked out perfectly baby shower is May24

I bet it is stressful! One of the reasons i really don't plan on throwing it myself.
If I did throw it myself , I'd get to picky.
I've given them ideas of themes and such lol but
As long as we eat and have karaoke , I'll be fine :)

I planned my baby shower with my son. I had help with my friends. When you plan it, it seems to go the way you like but if they wanna do it then just help them out and give suggestions.

Listen throwing a shower is stressful.
Just let them do out.
