Bathing

Does it hurt to take a bath after you've had a baby? I'm chafing and I was wondering if it hurts to take a bath it's been almost two weeks since I gave birth?

My doctor said only showers for 4 weeks. Baths increase chance of infection. Try cornstarch for chafing. Im two weeks post partum also and would love a hot bath as my leg muscles are really tight and sore. Best wishes.
