I mean I'm 26+5and I still ride my horse. Pretty sure I can go shopping by myself or go to the zoo. Yes I have trouble getting up off the floor or getting out of bed but I can do it and if I need help I just ask. My family is good about it to. My mom bugs a little bit about working with the horses but that's understandable. One stupid little thing and a serious injury could happen.
I wish they'd trust us to know our own limits! I am a very strong person physically, so I if it doesn't make me strain I do it, if I'm not sure I ask my husband. They always offer and I tell them I'm fine and they let me do it. I'm grateful people care and want to help, but they need to trust that we will ask for the help if we need it, and if we say we can do it then let us do it.
