Do frequent hiccups in utero indicate acid reflux, can anyone relate?

My baby gets the hiccups an average 5 times per day.  Ive heard this could be a sign of acid reflux lnce hes born. Has anyone ever experienced this? My 2 other children had the hiccups in utero but not this often.

Thats what my doctor said too, wasn't too worried about it, was more curious to see if other people noticed a pattern w their baby hiccups and acid reflux. Thanks for your input.

I have never heard that.  My first daughter would get them a couple times a day and she has never once had a problem with heartburn/acid reflux and she's 9.  Hiccups are usually caused by the baby practicing breathing and swallowing the amniotic fluid.  I wouldn't worry about it.

Every baby is different. Hiccups dont really signal anything
