Breastfeeding/Pumping

Nothing has been more depressing than going from making 10-12oz on average to barely pumping 4oz. My baby is only 2 weeks old. I don't understand how my milk supply has run out so fast. I want to cry. I am mostly pumping because my daughter has the hardest time latching. And bottle feeding is a lot easier due to schedules.
Do any of you already moms have any tips to up your milk production?
I don't know if I'm not producing as much because I'm not eating the massive amounts of food I used to or what.
But it's so stressful.
When I was producing the 12oz of milk I had stored most of it in the freezer. I had an amazing supply that would have lasted me forever. Seriously my freezer was full of bags, but it totally diminished because I don't know what happened but the bags opened or exploded or something all over the freezer. I was down to like 5 bags of milk. Right now I have 4 bags in the freezer but each only has between 4-6 ounces and she eats 3 at a time. I'm so stressed I'm rambling.

You could try a nipple shield? I've heard that its for babies with latching issues. . Just an idea.

It's because you are pumping exclusively. Pumping doesn't produce the hormones that nursing does. It doesn't do the same thing to your body.

With breast feeding you cant just completely pump and if she wont latch on then maybe she just cant be breast feed

U suppose to exclusively breast feed for 3-4 weeks after there born then pump because like i said before it can mess up your milk supply. Slow it down or completely dry up

But don't stress about it, your baby wont starve just put her on your breast when you run out of milk you had saved. It probably will stress you if you guys havent done it but be patient and help each other and it will build up little by little to her needs

If your only pumping you need to do that every hour or so to build your supply the sucking is not the same as the babies mouth so it will be harder. In the beginning i noticed i had so much milk but then it starts regulating to your babys need as he or she breast feed. But since your pumping it slowed down. Just start breastfeeding the baby from your nipple and your baby will make what they need

When you were making that much were you only breastfeedin her with a bottle or your nipple? Babies take a little to learn to latch you need to be patient and work with your baby and you guys will get better

Well I'm 3 months post pardum I pumped and bottle fed for a month of it but breastfeeding is so much easier. But when I pumped I'd only pump 4-6 oz at a time. You should be pumping every 2-3 hours, drinking tons of water and stay positive. You should be pumping for 15-20 minutes a session. You may also benefit from googling power pumping sessions. Also I've heard taking fenugreek can help production and non alcoholic beer. 12oz is a lot especially if you baby is only drinking 3 oz you must have had an over supply. I would be discouraged.

You Might Not Be Pumping Enough ToTell Your Body To Produce More Milk And On Freezing It Are You Leaving Enough Room For It To Expand?
