Confused

This is my first pregnancy and I am really anxious to get to a doctor and find out everything there is to know about pregnancy. I called a doctor to schedule and appointment as soon as I found out I was pregnant. She told me they don't see me until I am 8 weeks along. I am currently in my fifth week. Is that normal? Or is there any way I can get seen/ultrasound sooner. (Is it too early for ultrasounds?)

I got told the same thing. I Am Also 5 Weeks Along. It is best to get it at 8 weeks because before then it's very difficult to detect anything when doing an ultra sound. At this week and the next our babies hearts have just begin to form and beat.

That sounds normal. I know some doctors where I am from don't see patients until 10-12 weeks. Just be sure to take your prenatal vitamins everyday!

8 weeks is fine.  I didn't know how far along I was and scheduled an appointment.  I got an ultrasound to determine that I was 7 weeks. You might get an ultrasound. .. depends on the doc and your insurance. My doctors office does them that early to see how far along you are.
