Hey don't panic mama. How far are you? Do you know your bishop score? (If not I'd look it up and ask your Dr). Do you know how they're planning to induce? (Cytotec, cervadil, balloon, pitocen?) I have some basic info on induction on my profile in the journals section. Feel free to check it out and message me with any additional questions. I'm just getting to bed but I should be able to answer first thing in the morning. Good luck!
I'm 39wks 1day and I honestly don't even know what a bishop score is :/ they are doing pitocen...thank you I will look at your journal
Will you be able to have anything for pain?... I was induced but I wasn't allowed to take anything for pain... My charli was premature and she decided to be breached at the last minute... The PAIN WENT FROM 3 TO 1000 IN MINUETS... My first child I had an epidural so I experienced no pain... My second child I say was my first brith because of the experience....I'm 16weeks today with my first son and even tho I know of the excruciating pain that's headed my way I still will refuse the epidural because it's a unforgettable experience... Being nervous is only right... Allow yourself that....as long as you and the baby is healthy you both will be fine... Prayers are going up for you both
I was the same way when I went in for my inducing with my first born. I just had to put some calming classical music on before I did anything. My son had a collapsed lung an he also was sent to another hospital and I had to wait for discharge it was very difficult but in the end it was all worth it because my son is a true blessing. Just keep calm an everything will be okay. Im not sure if you are religious or not but maybe try praying an ask god to help you get through this. I promise everything will be fine.
What kind of heart defect
As long as your delivery goes smoothly (as in you don't need an episiotomy or c section) you should be able to get discharged early. Ask your nurse/Dr/midwife if that's an option. I know if it were me if want to be where my child was asap.
