She's here!

Dana Marie was born yesterday 1/6/2015 at 2:40 pm weighing 8 pounds, 5.5 ounces.

Here's my long labor story. I was having regular contractions every 4-5 minutes, but wasn't dilating and my cervix was so high, she said she wouldn't even classify it as -3 because it was much higher, so I got pitocin at 7:30 am to help my body progress farther. By 10:00 am, my contractions were every 2 minutes but my cervix was still around -3 and I was at 4cm so I got an epidural. At 1:00 pm, my doctor said I was 5cm and my cervix was finally -1 so she broke my water. At 2:00pm I was feeling the pressure from the contractions so my nurse checked and I was between 7 and 8cm. The pressure for very intense very quickly so I had her check again at 2:30pm, and she said I was fully dilated and notified my doctor. Before the doctor was there, I pushed twice with the nurse, and when she got in the room, I pushed 5 times and she was out at 2:40pm. I tore in two places in the front so I had to get those stitched up but I feel alright overall and already got a shower and changed so I feel better now. I was 39+2 when I delivered and she is my smallest child so far, the other two were 9 pounds.
