Confession Time...

So, recently, I've been thinking about this & I have been for a while. It's just been on my mind more often now.

I love my daughter... very much.

But sometimes... I only feel like I'm her babysitter, not her mother. I'm just a girl watching a baby for a long time, lol. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but I now feel relieved for revealing this. I feel so badly, like a bad person, a bad parent. If anyone can help me understand why this is, I'd greatly appreciate it.

@sanja25 I think I might not be seeing myself in a mom role... it's still weird to me when people say I'm get mom. Like, I know that I am, but to be a person's mother is a huge title.

@sanja25 I guess my dad's helping me, but that's going to change soon. He's just giving us a place to stay, for now. That's it. He's bought her diapers & wipes before, but doesn't make a habit of it. That was a while ago.

@marindamqz Yeah, I think it'll get better. I just don't know where the feeling is coming from. Glad I'm not the only 1 who's experienced this.

@Jadabug55 It's definitely a big adjustment.

@kamuda I spend time w/ her all of the time. She's w/ me when I wake up & when I go to sleep. I talk to her, play. I think it'll eventually pass.

It'll get better! I felt the same way with my daughter in the beginning, SERIOUSLY. I told my mom the exact same thing you posted. Now my daughter is almost 2 and we're soooo close.

Is anyone helping you with the baby?
Maybe you dont see yourself in a mom role
Maybe you feel like you are too young
Or maybe someone is helping you a lot and you keep having the same life style that you had before
And the only thing that changed is that you have a baby now

@african_mama_bear Yeah, I understand that. I just don't know why I feel like this. @sanja25 I'm 22. No, I don't live w/ her father.

Why do you feel like that like with me i have my daughter often cause my hubby works a lot so i wont feel like im just watching her i bond with her we do activities always play around laugh she is actually a fun child for an 11 month old but i always try to make sure we have that bond but also that i am her mother and im here to laugh with her hold her when she cries and experience her first times with her and make them exciting its the little things that count honestly we all get afraid we wont be good mothers to our kids but it dont hurt to try my inly concern is not having the time i have for her when the baby comes until then she gets all the motherly love and attention
