my dr said 6-8 an hour... not every hour though cause obviously the baby will sleep and not move for periods of time... so you do kick counting over the course of a couple of hours... the baby will be more active at different times of the day and you will soon learn the babies patterns as it grows.... im 35 weeks and if im busy I wont notice movements at all and there are a lot of movements that I dont feel unless my hand is on my stomach
I am with Becca as long as you are feeling plenty of movement during the course of a full day you should stress too much. There are definitley a lot of hours that I don't feel 10 kicks in an hour. If you ever feel that you aren't feeling enough activity though be sure to call your dr. and I'm sure they'd be happy to check on baby for you!
Everyone says different cos I've been told 10 kicks every 4 hours I guess as long as you feel baby and it's as active as always then there's no problem I'm 27 weeks and there is no way I feel 10 kicks an hour every hour! I can feel 10 kicks and hour but then could go 4 hours with no kicks just a few movements,
