I'm diabetic before pregnancy and obviously during. the biggest thing is watching what you eat. Make sure you always check your sugars! if you don't take care of yourself it could be bad for baby! it's hard to get used to checking your sugars and watching your sugars but knowing you're doing it for the baby makes it much easier!
I had it with my first and now with this pregnancy...I test 4 times a day and I am mainly controlling it by diet but my fasting stays higher than normal so at night I take a pill to make sure it doesn't get to high...risk to baby is being big at birth and baby could be born with low blood sugar if you don't control it properly...you will be fine love its not the worse thing to happen and the fact that you are asking questions shws that baby is your number 1 concern :))
How far along are its important to keep an eye on ur levels cause it will make ur baby big
Dr says I have it and honestly I'm not even doing the diabetec appointment with the strips. I just reduced my sugar intake and feel better. I'm so far along I see no point in stressing. Wish the Dr did all this sooner.
