frustrated!~

So I am 37 weeks 4 days and I have to say I am fed up! I know we all get this way close to the end. I am tired, my back is killing me and I hate these braxton hicks.
Last saturday I went to the hospital b/c I thought I was leaking fluid turns out I wasnt but we did find out that baby was at a +1 station (nurse was in shock at that) and I was 2cm's. Given that my 1st labour was so fast and his head is so low I thought as well as my mom and mil that we would have a baby pretty quick.
Well today at my Dr's appointment I was still just 2cm's but 75% effaced which she said means when my Labour does begin it will be very fast. (like last time) She still said she thinks it will be 2 weeks though! ARRRRRRRR!  I was hoping she would say like a few days or maybe a week? She did say she can strip my membranes next thursday which if I am ready should make me go into labour the next day or 2.
I left feeling bummed out. I just want to be done and I want to meet my son!!

I googled natural induction methods but I guess I feel selfish doing them if the baby is not ready, plus I am not overdue or anything.........
but it sure would be nice if he decided to come!

anyone have an encouraging words or want to vent along with me?

I bet you go in to labor sooner than 2 weeks.  I was only 1cm dialated (I don't remember how much effaced or my station - but not very far along) when I induced at 40weeks 2 days.  My doctor even stripped my membranes, I think the week before I induced, but it didn't make things happen on their own, obviously.  My little guy wanted to hang out as long as possible!  lol  At least you know, when it does happen, that your labor will be quick - yeah! :-)

I realize how frusterating this can be but your baby age can be off by 2 weeks.  That is why there is a standard of care and guidelines dr's follow to not induce labor before 38 weeks.  A baby that is by age 36 weeks by exam age usually does very well (not by due date).  The baby age may really only be 35+4.  Hang in there, only a few days left.  Babies are smart and they know when they are ready.  Goodluck and congrats early!

Aww. That's exactly how I felt with my first child. It gets very hard at the end doesn't it? Your anxious & agitated & uncomfortable! Not to mention running back and forth to the e.r. for all the false alarms. Try to soak to help with the aches. Get a nice rub from a loved one. & if all else fails.. semen is a natural labor inducer! *winkwink* good luck !
