I have always craved the ice they have at sonic, zaxbys, and my hospital. Its soooooo good. But it can be a sign of low iron like other girls have said. But i do notice a diff between just craving it and needing it. Usually if I'm low on iron i have to have huge big cups of it every day like 5 times a day. Also i start getting a craving for laundry detergent which i never eat, just smell until my iron returns to normal.

Craving ice is a symptom of anemia, and for anemia, you should take iron.  You need a lot of extra iron during pregnancy for the baby's sake.  It certainly does not hurt you to eat ice, but eating it will not cure anemia.  Get on an iron supplement for that.

Ice is just water so its not bad for you but craving it could be caused but low iron or also called pica just let your dr know about it and he/she can tell you more. just if you start craving dirt or paper or non food items get it checked out asap and obviously (you know this but) don't eat those things!!
