At my 20 week scan my little man had a ureter tube that was bigger than the other one. Went back in at 24 weeks and the kink had worked most of itself out. Super common, try nit to worry too much about it but i suggest if you want better reassurance than i would talk with his pediatrician. Thats what i did and i felt so much better after i did!
I had this with my first pregnancy. I was told its very common in little boys and that only in rare severe cases will the baby need surgery afterwards. Once my son was born they didn't even have to do an ultrasound on him they just monitored his urine and everything turned out fine and I've never had any issues with it. Don't stress urself out about it cause its very rare they have to operate and even when they do its usually not until they are older and if it gives them problems and the surgery is minor.
I don't know if this was the same thing but when I was born (22 years ago) there was a blockage between my kidneys and bladder and needed surgery and the doctors didn't expect me to live past a year. However, when my parents took me in for the surgery at 8 months the blockage had surprisingly just disappeared. I now have scarred kidneys but have never had any problems with them.
I hope my story helps you some. Like other ladies have said, a lot of the time it can go away on its own.
I have not personally heard of this. It doesn't sound overly serious (meaning life threatening). I can understand your concern tho. All th best!!
My nephew had to be circumcised to be more careful of uti's or any other kidney amd bladder infections. He had no problems urinating just when he did it was a lot at one time. He still tends to pee alot and wakes in the middle of the night to pee as well. I hope this answers your questions.
I think for peace you should ask ur doctor for further information.. This is first time i m also hearing tht.. However if its bringing doubts in ur mind thy should provide u with full details... I hope evrrything goes fine... Take cares..
@missymay34... My doctor didn't really explain she's one of those doctors that rushes in and out not giving you time to talk. Did you nephew have problems going pee? Is that what it is? If you know
oh sorry for asking i always see it n never knew y it just say bump
My nephew was born with one and they will keep an eye on it through ultrasounds. Most kids grow out of it by the age of 5.
Thank you it means a lot I've never heard of it or seen a post on here about it I thinly hats why it has worried me so much
No personal experience here, but a few hrs ago another poster had the same question and it seems no one responded I assume bc they dont really know, this was my first time hearing of it myself so I read up on it and it does say that most babies grow out of it and like 15-20 % actually need surgery....i dont think its cause for worry if they say not to...its natural to be concerned, I would ask your doctor for some direct answers and statistics...X
Just moving the post up so people can see it and hopefully answer :)
