Blood outside uterus - on bed rest

I did my first ultrasound scan and found that there s small amount of blood outside the placenta. And doctor advised me for 2 weeks bed rest. Is this okay? How do I know after 2 weeks that the blood s gone and am fine. I am currently 8 weeks.

I am 16 weeks I had this at around 8 weeks. I have a sub chorianic hematona. Basically a blood clot. Ask is stl it's nearly gone now baby is fine and I am fine.

I'm the same, but I'm on a week's rest. They couldnt tell where the bleeding was coming from all they could say was that it hadn't effected the baby. But everyday lifting and movement can make it worse so resting should give it enough time to settle down. Hope it's all ok I know it's worrying x
