You know, like fish, flake is shark, from the fish and chip shop :)
Mmmm flake! I'm in Australia and we don't have a problem with high levels if mercury in our fish here so we just need to make sure its properly cooked. Where abouts are you?
Oh why not u should be able ... !
Absoluuuutely not. Shark is a big no no. Way too much mercury.
Shark is high in mercury and not recommended during pregnancy. I would not eat it.
yeah i would say no salmon is okay i know no swordfish and thats similar to shark. sa
tay away from anything high in mercury you should even limit tuna.
A little bit of fish won't harm you but it needs to be cooked properly females can VERY easily get sick and harm the baby if they get any raw fish on them. I would suggest only having a few bites if the fish has allot of mercury tho you don't want to much.
Shark has a ton of mercury....one of the fish with the highest, actually.
In australia... mmm, maybe ill just avoid it.. as much as I love it! Lol
If sharks in Australia aren't a problem with mercury, then I guess go for it. I'd ask a doctor just in case, because pregnancy significantly lowers your immune system and any mercury at all could cause a problem potentially. But here, shark is a big no haha.
Ask your dr. I'm in QLD and if its locally sourced its perfectly fine in Australia. Enjoy!
I don't think your suppose to eat any fish but salmon and shrimp and you are suppose to limit yourself on those two. As in Shark I believe that it's a huge no especially since you are so early in your pregnancy.
