I learned to crochet so I could make a baby blanket for my little one. I made it white and then when we found out the gender I got pink to make a boarder. It's a relaxing hobby and I usually throw in a DVD to watch while I crochet :)
I've never been into scrapbooking or anything like. I have 5 kids...3 in school and 2 at home. So when I DO find the rare moment to myself I like..no..LOVE to read. I also piddle around on the internet, read the news online, check this forum or just sit and watch TV. Sometimes I find little projects that I have been putting off like printing and sending pictures to relatives etc.
That's a good idea! I do want to start scrapbooking but don't have pictures yet. That's a great idea to premake the sheets! Thank you :) also it sounds like you have your hands full maybe I should just enjoy lounging lol.
Oh my gosh I miss the days of being pregnant with my first!!! I got to sleep in, watch movies all day or read. With three little ones (one goes to school but by the time I give birth to this fourth little blessing two of them will be in school) I barely have time to sit down and put my feet up. It is so important to take a time out for yourself (those of you with kids at home!).
I am constantly cleaning, cooking, feeding, diapering, changing, entertaining. When I do find a few moments for myself (usually when Daddy is home!) I scrapbook, read, catch up on blogs and this forum, making jewelry, etc. Sometimes I just SIT and watch TV because I'm so pooped at the end of the day.
So if you're bored I would suggest taking up scrapbooking to pass the time. Some people premake their sheets and then add pictures later (you can probably get tons of ideas online for free or subscribe to a scrapbooking magazine). Do little cleaning projects here and there (if you've got closets or a garage to clean out or a nursery room to clean out). Don't overdo it and listen to your body (don't lift anything too heavy!) but you can definitely start nesting and making room for baby.
