GBS positive...help!

So I found out I tested positive for group B strep and my OB made it sound like a non-issue. Just said that I'd need to be on antibiotics before having my baby. Well I decided to do some research and have found that things like checking dialation can increase the chances of the baby becoming infected, they have checked me without telling me of the risks. It also seems like testing positive for GBS, although 1 in every 4 women test positive, is a bigger issue than my doctor made it seem. Anybody know anything about GBS? Am I just paranoid and need to stop going on Google or should my doctors be more concerned?

They do. Just do exactly what they say. Make sure everytime you think you're going into tk labor to go get checked. That way you can make sure to get those antibiotics. I might be wrong but I think it's a 1 and 200 chance baby could get gbs from you if you do t have the antibiotics. They kept my 4th baby an extra day in the hospital just to make sure she didnt have it considering I gave birth in the car lol

Bay will be fine as long as you have antibiotics before you deliver her. I've had gbs. In fact my last labor i didn't make it to the hospital in time for the antibiotics. I delivered my 4 th baby in the car and I was positive for gbs. My daughter turned out fine. She never got gbs from me. Stay away from google lol
