Even people who eat healthy all the time still develop gestational diabetes. Its not necessarily something you did wrong, just happens.
Thank you knufrio,
Just makes me upset, I dont mind the diet just checking regulary because I know I gain college pounds so wanted to be on a diet anyways.. just wanted to do it voluntarily not forcely because I feel its going to be harder to accomplished.. but my mind is just going crazy with the news... not bad news because can be fixable but didnt want to go thru with it:/
I felt the same way as you when I found out. But I was overweight when I got pregnant. I did loose weight though I lost 14 pounds while walking and what not. But my doctor treated me as if I ate nothing but sugar and fast food (I didn't eat as healthey as I should) but I didn't eat hamburger and fried stuff all the time either. I was just sitting around and being lazy. Lol but its not so bad just do the diet and keep your sugars down and you will do fine.
The only thing I am worried about is if I am going to have a big baby. But my doctor said that since my sugars are good and I'm loosing weight she isn't to worried about it
Don't beat yourself up about it. From what I've read it doesn't necessarily mean you did anything wrong. Its just how your body responds to pregnancy and breaks down your sugars. It just happens. Don't stress
Did you take the test and leave?or do you literally have to wait that hour?
@loveyou4ever11 I took the test and I had to see my doctor after
How many weeks do they usually do the glucose test
Mine was at 28 weeks I think. Or it might have been 26 weeks
Yeah at least ill loose my college weight:)
I feel better now... just follow directions and walk more because im getting lazy too lol
and yes or they will call you as soon as they have the results they will tell you. But every dr is different and I got mine checked at 20wks.
But I heard that the one with medicine is the bad one and thank god I dont have that one just have to watch what I eat from now on til I give birth.
