Is it safe to relax hair

I'm 38 weeks and haven't relaxed my hair since I've been pregnant. I really want to relax it because my hair is currently unmanageable. I don't know if i should.

I relaxed my hair with my first and this pregnancy and both are healthy so I'm pretty sure it's safe to do so

It depends on whether you go to the shop or not a lot of the newer store-bought relaxers they say have too many chemicals that are absorbed by the scalp(like if you've ever had scabs) it could be because you left in on too long or had a bad reaction to the chemicals in it. I've permed my hair once during this pregnancy but it was very early on I think the further along you get the greater the chance of harmful effects since then it's grown out so much and with my hair being so unmanageable without one I've just been keeping up braids. But I'd say if you feel like it's absolutely necessary go to the shop and have them do it.

It's not going to harm the baby if that's what you're worried about.
