2 or 3....
Maybe... I dont want a big family,.. I think its big enough already with 7 brothers and 2 sisters of my own, 2 nephews and 2 nieces and well goodness knows how many aunts and uncles and everything... Christmas is expensive and I have 4 birthdays every month!! LOL...
But I dont want Harry to be an only child cause he will be bored...
x
I can't poll bc I'm on my phone. I use to say 3 max but DB has 2 and there's no way I could settle for just one Bio. So I say 4-5. Wouldn't go over 5 unless I had twins or something! :)
yeah, I agree with the only child comment above. I want my daughter to have someone to vent about their "old mom" with. When they have to put me in a "home" at least they will have eachother to talk about it.
I voted 3 max that I hould handle, but 2 is just fine with me!
Id say 4 =) four seems perfect.... but if God desides to give us more then ill take what i can get, as some ppl cant even have one. No not saying ill be the next duggar family. Just saying that If its going to be five it will be. =)
I'm thinking 6. We have 5 now. Technically we have 6 already because of our stillborn, but I think 6 living children...nice and even. Besides, if we do have one more, by the time I get pregnant and give birth we would both be closer to 40 and neither of us really wants to have any kids after we turn 40.
when i was younger i wanted 5 but then i was diagnosed with health issues that make preg very scary and stressful for me so now that i have 2 i think we are going to try for 1 more and be done
2 - we're done!!!
When I was younger, I used to think I wanted 3 kids, but once I actually had one, I realized how much time and effort goes into raising a child, and how much of yourself you need to be prepared to give. I'm having a kind of down day so this might be influencing my mood - well, it probably is - but I just don't think I could handle more....I feel maxed out at 2!!
DH is from a big family - one of 5 kids - and he also only wants 2.
My husband is an only child and he only wanted 1, but when he met me I had one already so we are having one together. I'm having a girl so my husband wants to try again for a boy. So I am looking at 3-4 kids and I'm ok with that.
I voted for 2. I wouldn't mind 3 though. But my mom had 5 and I LOVED growing up in a big family - someone to always talk to or play with. Sure we got mad at each other, but there was enough siblings to find a new one to talk to! LOL! We are all super tight now - except for my crazy older brother. He really is crazy and could use some prayer, but then again, couldn't we all?!
I have 4 and love it. I always wanted alot of kids but kinda was tryin to stay at 3 but when we ended up with 3 girls we decided to try one more time for our boy and it worked!! I love havin 4!!! But thats it for me lol
I have 2 and working on #3, I always wanted 4, but if the Lord wants me to only have the 2 I got then I will take it!!! Hubby wants only 3, but he said if we can afford 4 we can go for it!
i put 5 cause 2 of my children i adopted out so there mine but there not and then i have my 5 yr old ds which i only get in the summer and then i have a 10 month old ds and we are in month 1 of ttc and it will be our last i want one more b4 35 thats my cut off and i am 31 so it will be cutting it close but i gotta try
God willing we want 4. 2 down and 2 to go.
what.... . no one is into 19 or so,, those darn Duggars just might be nuts.. i have a 7 year old daughter and currently 4 and a half month along with number 2.. i feel so guilty for not giving her a sibling sooner, but such is life,, finally she will be the big sister she has always wanted to be..
That is so funny that you said 2 or 4, but not 3, because that is what I always told my DH too! I really want an even number. We have one son and I just found out I am pregnant w/ #2. I think I will wait on this one and see if I really want more! But, from a practical standpoint, you can fit 3 kids and 2 adults in most regular size cars, but once you have the 4th, it's minivan time! And, I am not ready to be the minivan soccer mom...LOL So, who knows, maybe I'll only have 3 after all and keep my Honda Civic. :-) But, we'll be happy with however many kids we're blessed with, but after 4, it's snip-snip time for Dad. haha
angela418~~~I say 2 or 4 because I'm number 2 of 3. I don't know, I just never liked the idea of having 3. I don't mind the bigger vehicle, we already have a Grand Cherokee, and I actually want a Suburban. You don't have to move to a van just cause you have 4 kids...but I'll do what I have to, I can still have my Camaro, lol (I have a 97)...I just can't fit more than three others total. (2 back seats and one passenger)
2 cause there's no way in hell that I'm driving a Minivan. The 3rd one would only happen by accident and I don't think that after this one, I ever want to be pregnant again. I would like to be able to sleep in some day and be able to go out to dinner without having to chase a toddler around. I love my child he is my whole life but teething turns him into a little monster and after 2 kids and soo many teeth, diapers and sleepless nights, I can't do any more than that.
Can't vote on my phone but I'd like 4. I couldn't imagine having more than 6, but that won't happen lol. I'm on #2 now and I can't imagine trying to fit more than 2 in a regular size car, especially if anyone is still in a car seat or booster! My mom had 3 and once we were bigger she got a mini-van, a car wasn't big enough and we were pretty tiny kids! I have a blazer, but when we decide to go for #3 I'll switch to a bigger suv!
I know, I know I don't have to get the minivan w/ more than 3...lol I'd get an SUV, too. I really want to upgrade to a Honda Pilot. I had a Chevy Blazer in high school and it was fun. The real reason I want an even number is probably because of what you, and I, have experienced as children, being one of an odd number where someone is left out. I am the oldest of 5 girls, and it is fun, don't get me wrong, but I just think with an even number everyone will have a playmate. :-)
We are saying two (from my womb). I'm pregnant with my first and I'm 33. I think I would like to be done with the pregnancy phase by the time I'm 36. If we decided later to have a third...I would consider adoption or become a foster parent.
For me it's 2. My first is only almost 3 months old, and I come from a really big family. I have 2 sisters, but tons and tons of cousins. I really hate being pregnant and had a really hard time, so that makes me never want to go through it again (preterm labor, bedrest, csection, ect), but I think about how much my husband and I love our sibllings and I don't want my Franky to grow up alone... and I love being a mom more than I ever could have imagined. So, in another few years I will be going through it all over again HAHA.
I was set at two (a boy and a girl). Something hit me though and I wanted one more. So #3 is due in two months. No way am I doing this again though, we are DONE!
I'm with you ladies that say 2-4. If I had one of each I could be done, 3 is nice, but if #4 happens... SOMEBODY (DH) is getting SOMETHING (vasectomy) done :0). I'm the oldest of 5 and I just wasn't a fan of that many kids, it was too chaotic growing up. DH agrees that 3 is an ideal number but there's no way we will hit 5. He and I disagree with how far apart we want our children. There's only 2 yrs between he and his brother, but there's a big age gap between me and my siblings. I just can't imagine bringing one into diapers, with out getting the older one out of diapers. I guess we'll just see how the first one goes, and let God tell us when He thinks we can handle more! :0)
I used to think one was enough, well now we(DH and I) have 6 total...And they all live with us...LOL so much for my train of thought...I was glutten for punishment I guess. I said after DS was born 4 years ago that was the last and well you know I just had another, but this time I got a tubal so we are officially done, unless God has other plans for us...Which is okay with me...And as far as the bigger car thing it doesnt bother me, I love my minivan..It is just perfect..Plus, the automatic sliding doors and trunk are an added plus lol
