How reliable are the "old wives tales" about gender?

Okay, so I am only 7.5 weeks along, and the curiosity of my baby's gender is driving me crazy, lol. I know I won't know there true gender until about another 9 weeks or so by an ultrasound, but I've been taking multiple gender predictor quizzes on google just for fun, & each one of them says I'm having a boy, even the Chinese chart. Some of the old wives tales the quizzes included was; cravings, husband gaining weight, appearance, morning sickness, etc. My mother's intuition is also telling me a boy. But I was wondering if anyone else has taken those quizzes or had any of the tales be correct about your baby's gender.

Chinese predictor and baking powder test were both right for me (having a girl) but quizzes were wrong

I did 2 prediction test that a friend told me about were someone hides a spoon and a fork under 2 seats and I can't know which is which and if you sit on the spoon its a girl if you sit on the fork its a boy ... I sat on the fork then I did another one with a chain that someone is suppose to hang over ur tummy if the chain moves in circular motion its a girl if it moves back and forth its a boy .... For me it turned out boy and when I got my sonogram done its a BOY (: so I belive in them lol you should try I had fun lol @amg13

I did the gender prediction and the chinese chart and said am having a boy.well it was true for me  iam having a boy or  it must be luck.i don't know.

Both mine said boy with everything but I have two girls roaming around my house.....and if they are boys their penis didn't get the memo lol

With my first everything said girl I took so many tests my head spun but we had a boy

The Chinese one was wrong for me. I did the baking soda test and it came out boy. The heart rate was slower (means boy) still old wives tale. I found out at 16+3 weeks we are having a baby boy! I'm currently 19+3 and was still a boy at 18 weeks.

With this baby every thing I did, the quizzes n Chinese stuff n tests n even symptoms kept saying girl but turns out to be boy so wasn't accurate for me lol

Its 50/50 I wouldn't start buying anything blue still after the ultrasound if that's what baby shows.
