HELP?

Ok so im very upset bcs i have an apointment for jan 5th to see my obgyn, now i live in miami,fl any one who lives here knows homestead and kendall are very far apart if you gatta go on bus, i live in homestead and the apt is in kendall, ive already missed one apt in december due to the fact that me and my bf didnt have money, now im 32 weeks , and hes saying we dont gatta go bcs its not mandatory,  and its wayy too long of a trip for such a short apt ( everytime we have gone , it was quick and we left in matter of minutes) he dosnt like the obgyn bcs he says that the guy does everything quick amd its just gunna be the same if we go again so whats the point,  then he starts to say that he knows the baby is ok he has that feeling.

But im trying to tell him just bcs the other times were quick doesnt mean this time will be, i told him that we might have to come every week now , now that im this far along my pregnancy. But still he says hes not gunna take that long trip on bus for nothing.

I wanna change my obgyn now cuz i know these apts are important! Hes saying amd we will know when your in lavor we just go to the hospital,  we dont need an obgyn to tell us when to go .... idk what he thinks of life but hes being very immature and cleary not ready for a child, i cried so much cuz it hurts to even hear a guy say all this junk!? Please im i crazy? Or is he the right one? Maybe these apts arent as important as i think ?

I know how you feel. I don't know how far away you go but I drive an hour to go to my appointments. It sometimes seems so pointless because sometimes the appointments last literally 2 minutes for such a long drive. Especially since I'm 39 weeks and have been going every week for the past month or so. But I feel like the appointments are very important because even though its probably not that likely in a low risk pregnancy, but things could change so quickly and you might not even be aware that you need medical attention. Blood test, urine tests, checking blood pressure, they only take a little while to do but I still think theyre important! Plus hearing the heartbeat is always reassuring. I'm sorry your boyfriend doesn't see it the way you do and upsetted you! :( my husband sometimes gets annoyed by how it only takes a few minutes. He went to the bathroom at my last appointment and missed the whole thing. Haha. Do what's you can and what's best for you and baby!

Every appointment is important. Just because he "thinks" things are okay, doesn't mean that they are. Your body can switch and change, and you may not understand it. My obgyn isn't far from me, but seeing how I'm 34 weeks and getting closer, I'd gladly drive 45mins to see him if I felt like I needed to. Or if he needed to. The reason why your appointments get closer as well is because baby could come at any minute and they want to monitor everything; see if you have any new symtptoms or whatnot. If you can find an obgyn that will take you this far along in your pregnancy, I say do it. Just for the sake of your baby. Good luck.

He sure doesn't sound very caring. He obviously doesn't know that these appointments are very important wether it be a 10 min or 30min appointment. Knowing that your are very close to your due date i would go to appointments no matter what. Hey if you can find a closer doc to you go for it. Keep your head up and don't stress

I get the distance, but every appointment counts it's very important only because you never know what may happen
