Does long term use of percocts effect a mans sperm?

Sorry if this seems a little off track. I am 25 yrs old i have a 4 year old. I am currently trying to have my second child. The man that i am with however is addicted to percoets. He is in the process of getting off of them. But in the mean time i am curious to know if long term use of this drug makes his sperm count lower? or if i do get pregnant will his use of this type of drug have an effect on our unborn child? PLease help....

I have delt with a parent who was addicted to medications. He OD'd and died a bit over a year ago from them and he was my step dad.

I don't believe it would lower his sperm count. it won't have an affect on your unborn child, it would only affect it if YOU were taking them and it could cause dependency in the baby if YOU took them.

I hope for your sake and his, that before you ttc he gets off the meds and gets clean. It would NOT be benefitial to your family to have him addicted.
