I have no idea what to do.. Help?

So I really do not think i'm pregnant, but I don't know where to post this question, and it is somewhat related to the topic, i believe.

So I am taking Alesse birth control pills for a year now, and today, while still on the active pills, I got very heavy morning bleedind, exactly how I would get for my period, and exacly 1 week ahead, day for day: (I have 3 active pills left to take, and I always get my period 4 days after).

I do not know what it is.... maybe breakthrough bleeding, or maybe my period...

I never missed a pill this month, and i take them at the exact same time (i took one pill about 2 hours late only) so I don't think this is the issue.

But most importantly, should i keep taking my active pills as if nothing was wrong, or do I stop taking them for this cycle and start the new pack in one week?

Please help!
