I had a mirena that perferated my uterus and relocated inside my stomach. i ended up getting pregnant which ended up being etopic. With in two weeks after removal of the iud thru laperscopic surgery. the etopic erupted. They had to remove my folopian tube. Luckily 4 years later after told I probably can't have anymore kids. I am 32 weeks pregnant :). Good luck with the iud. I Don't recommend it for anyone.

I had my mirena put in nearly 2 wks ago. I've had some days of dark spotting, its pretty normal. I never had periods at all while on it before so I'm guessing thats just the last of whats there being expelled. I think you should be absolutely fine, but maybe take a test in a couple of weeks if you're worried, just to put your mind at rest :)
