Ill agree I'm 35 weeks and its uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach but I always lay on my left side and by morning I end up on my back!!
You can sleep on your back and stomach until it gets uncomfortable .. The baby will make it uncomfortable for you before anything bad happens, you will toss and turn in your sleep and you will end up on your back no matter what... I got worried when I was early on and my doc assured me its not a big deal, I know many women who slept on their belly their whole pregnancies.. Everyone is different but there's no need to Avoid sleeping whatever way your comfy, your doc will reassure you I promise :)
With your stomach - sleep until it's uncomfortable. I'm 20weeks and can still lay on my tummy. You are suppose to stop sleeping on your back after your first trimester bc the baby could lay on a major vein, preventing the baby from getting sufficient nutrients, etc. You can lay on your back in a recliner but not flat. And as far as I know you can use a heating pad bc it doesn't raise your core temperature.
Sleeping on your left side is best for circulation. I was too afraid to sleep on my stomach anymore, even in the first trimester, and the further along you are, sleeping on your back can become dangerous
I'm 22 weeks and still sleep on my tummy. I've slept like that my whole life and hopefully I can do this for a while because its most comfortable with my back. And the heating pad is fine as long as its low heat:)
u can sleep on ur stomach until its uncomfortable my friend did till she was 38 weeks
