Telling family

I'm 16+3 and I have told my entire family about the pregnancy. I told them as soon as we found out. My bfs parents know along with his siblings. We decided to wait to tell his other family members. Well today is the day we agreed to tell them because everyone will be together for a birthday dinner. Now my bf and his father dont want to announce it because my bf doesn't have a job and we're living in an upper apartment above his grandparents house until we can get our own place. I think we should tell them. I also think we have hidden our child from them long enough and their either going to support us or theyre not. It's still not going to change the fact that we're having a baby. What are your opinions. Tell them or dont?

Thanks guys. I got him to tell a few people, not all, but it's better than nothing.

Stuff like that is big for guys. You just need to reassure him that what everyone thinks doesn't matter. Its your lives you know? I'm sure he'll be working before the baby comes so who cares what everyone thinks no one is perfect.

Tell your boyfriend that when the rest of the family learns that so many family members knew, they will be angry that they were shut out.  The job issue and where you are living should not factor into it enough to make you keep it a secret, unless the family is so judgmental that you are all going to get into a screaming fight over their opinion of his ability as a provider.

I would tell them. We told all of our family as soon as we found out and my husband was out of work at the time everyone supported us. They may get upset the longer you wait.
