infected belly button :/

Here lately my belly button has been really itchy where I had it pierced. I took my belly ring out when I found out I was pregnant. I'm now 18 weeks. Recently, where it was pierced turned red and was knotted up and has pus coming out of it. I've cleaned it multiple times. Its not going away. Any suggestions?

I used to work in a tattoo and piercing parlor. Get clear anti bacterial hand soap, q tips and water. Clean it 3 times a day. Peroxide and alcohol will dry it out and could cause more irritation. Try the soap remedy and then if that doesn't work consult a tattoo shop. Good luck! Btw, keep scented lotions, perfumes and soap away until it's healed

Clean it with peroxide and then with a q tip put some neosporin on the affected area. Works every time

Clean it well and put some antibiotic ointment on it with a bandaid, then don't poke or pick or prod at it and it should clear up. Mine does that once in a while too even though I've had it for 10 years.
