placental abruption...

So I am 30 weeks pregnant and I had a 4d ultrasound last week with a specialist because I keep bleeding and they couldnt figure out why. Well he thinks I might have placental abruption and because as he put it I have suffered a few episodes of bleeding and the blood causing contractions. I got the steroids to develop babys lungs at 27 weeks and he is scheduling me for another 4d ultrasound with him every three weeks until I have her because they have no way of seeing if it is tearing away but he is suggesting that they move up my c section date from march 22nd to march 8th. Anyone else gone through this?

I had chronic abruption at 27 weeks and 33 weeks with my second baby.  The bled at 33 weeks landed me in the hospital until he was born via planned c section at 37 weeks.  He did great in the womb, strong heartbeat through the whole thing.  I'm not sure we will try for a 3rd given that all this happened.

Are you on bed rest? I've never went through it but my cousins girlfriend did and she went on complete bed rest, it healed itself and she ended up delivering at full term! Hopefully all goes well for you!!
