Thanks for all the replies :) either way I'm excited to know well have our baby soon but it does make it easy to over think things knowing when we'll go into the hospital. I hope your induction goes smoothly though!
My Dr had mine set for wed next week. But due to test results he has bumped it forward to tomorrow... My first was a natural labour and birth so I am in the dark as to what to expect with inducing just like you. My biggest worry is the fact I am on bed rest until tomorrow and have way to much time to over think everything....
You probably do better asking your doctor to strip your membrane they did that to me on a Friday by Monday at 3am I went into labor but congrartS
I've been induced with all 3 bbys and I'll be induced once again I think it's better the whole fact of going natural scares me cause I have to find people to take care of my kiddos lol!
I just wanted to say congrats! :) It's gotta be exciting to finally see that end of the line nearing that close!
well I was like u except i was 3cm dialated n 80% affaced n still got induced bcz of medical reason.. But i wouldnt say it was a long process i started pitocin at 7am n got contractions but they didnt bother me, by 1pm they broke my water. After that my contractions came out of nowheren were very painful but by 5:45 pm by baby girl was born n it was all over!! I hope sith this baby I don't get induced cz I have heard that being induced is more painful but I wouldn't knoe the difference since I've only had 1 baby so far n well if i go naturally with this baby #2 then ill definately let u know the difference..but congrats ull be a mommy pretty soon n ull love it!! everything u go thru will be worth it!!!
If you have a Little Ceaser's pizza place where you live, eat a piece of pepperoni pizza, crazy bread, and their buttery garlic sauce. My sister was going to get induced and she ate that, went into labor two hours later :) I'm pregnant I'm gong to do the same thing.
I've always been induced so I can't tell you if it hurts more or not, but being dialated and thinned will speed up the process for sure
Yess contractions by being induced hurt wayyy morre:((((( and the contractions come out of no where n strong...I was only dialated to 4cm and I couldnt take the pain n got an epidural not even an hour later I was 10cm... n I pushed for like 3 hours or more n no baby..I think its harded to noe when to push once epidural is in..so ended up c section ; ((
So it sounds like being dialated helps! I hope you start to dilate then
Yes it does and my Dr. Told me that if I'm not dilated I can't be induced because it'll usually end up in c section
How exciting! Good luck!
But I've heard that pitocin makes contractions come quicker and more intense than gradually like natural labor does..
I'm curious if anyone has noticed that already being dialated helps move things along with an induction versus not being dialated or effaced?
I thought same they were going to set a induction date if i didnt have baby by my next appointment which was going to be monday but im now in labor
Im scheduled to be induced on Monday but I want to go into labor naturally also! I'm nervous about it, my mom had to be induced and she said it hurt real bad bc of the pitocin and it was really strong and she needed an epidural bc it hurt so bad.
Thanks for the responses! I've been waiting tables my whole pregnancy so walking hasn't been an issue for me haha it hope all of us have smooth, easy inductions :)
walking will help I suppose to get induced dis Friday but my baby came today at 12:10 in the morning, goodluck
I wanna kno how to get through it also because i went into labor naturally with my first son nd it wasnt thar bad but im due on the 9th with this one nd if he dont come anytime soon they will be inducing me on the 6th
Yay so exciting! If I'm dilated on the 6th I get induced on the 9th! So cross your fingers for me and I will for you too :)
