Is 2 pounds a lot for the baby to be at 26 weeks?

I'm scared. Everyone is telling me the baby is to big :( and I been taking my prenatal vitamins everyday and I feel like that's what's making my baby big.

The weight is estimated by ultrasound. It isnt exact. They told me my daughter was gonna weigh at least 9lbs at birth bc of her scan when I was 32 weeks pregnant and when she was born she only weighed 7lbs 9oz

If ur docs ok I wouldn't stress it. My son came 2 weeks and a couple days early and he weighed in at. 8.6 pounds and 23 inches long

Your baby is fine and taking prenatals are not causing weight gain.

My son was always measuring and weighing 2 weeks ahead... he was a healthy 8.6 pound 23 inch baby... my daughter was the same except she weighed a hwalthy 7.2 lbs and she was 19 inchs longer... the ultrasound techs think that my third which is another girl is gonna be closer to my sons weight... im 28 weeks

Even if it might be a little heavier than 'average' doesn't mean it isn't normal. When giving approximate weight is also including the placenta too.

2 pounds at 26 weeks is a bit heavier than the average baby, but it isn't huge. Most of the growth charts I've seen (like on baby center) say your baby should be 2lbs by
28 weeks.  I really wouldn't worry about it unless your doctor tells you too.

2lbs is fine, it only becomes a concern if you lost 5-10lbs very quickly.  With my second child. I started to lose weight right about 30-36 weeks my doctor told me try to eat more throughout the day but I started to go into labor at 37w2d, had her at 37w2d with a csection since my first was a csection.
