Is it normal?

Hi ladies  i was jst wondering if it  was normal to have diarrhea when ur taking iron tablets?. see the thing is lst time i went to  the midwife  i found out i was anemic and i had e-coli in my blood/urine. iv been on meds for the e-coli and im still takin  iron suplements now. i have been for  a  about 2 wks now. but the thing is  even tho im taking the  meds i still aint been feeliing to gd iv been having few headaches and  dizzyness and  tmi i no sorry but diarrhea which jst comes and goes out the blue. iv been having alot of pressure dwn below to in my vigianl area too sumtimes making it hard for me to walk but im  only jst reaching upto the 30 week mark of my pregnancy so is this normal? iv  made another appointment to see my midwife tomorro as its been   nearly a nth since she last saw me. so hopefully i will get betta news tomorro   after takin these meds. but any advise  given would b great many thanks. :)

thanks for ur post, im starting to feel a little betta now but its jst day by day everything seems to change lol. ill b glad when my baby finally arrives aslong as he is safe and well. even tho i still av another 10 wks left if i make it full term.

hi there and thanks for ur reply. well the iron tabs im on are called ferrous gluconate 300 mg.  cos my iron was really really low  and the midwife thinks ill b taking them till the end of my pregnancy now. i hope not  but i guess ill av to wait and c. do u think i should  change the iron  tablets and try   another 1 they  suggest or jst stick with it as my  i have already finished taking my  e-coli meds  last week.

the diarrhea can also be a side effect of the e-coli

If you get too much iron this is a side effect (from what I've read and experienced). Often happens with taking liquid iron as the absorption rate is higher
