Pink, puffy area above c-section incision

Hi All, I had an emergency cesarean 3 weeks ago and I've started to notice over the last few days that there is a pink area of skin running horizontally above the incision, approximately 4 inches by 1 inch. It appears slightly puffy as well. I have no fever or discharge or puss or redness on the actual incision line, but it strikes me as a little odd. Any thoughts what this could be, or if I should be rushing to see my doctor? I see my midwife on Monday....

Thanks!

It could be from rubbing or something irritating it. As long as the area is not hot to the touch, have any discharge of any kind, excruciating pain, or you having a fever you will be fine till Monday. If you get one of those symptoms call your Dr ASAP or go to the er. An infection there hurts like hell and makes recovery longer. (I know from personal experience.)
