hi! i am 27 year old married woman, currently i am experiencing brown, scanty menstruation after being delayed for 13 days. today is the 2nd day of bleeding. what does it mean? i am pregnant?

thanks. i have done a hpt a week after i missed my menses, the result was negative. i will do Another hpt later.

I would say do a test to see if you are pregnant. You can have some discharge at the begining of pregnancy. The test only wworks on your hcg levels not any bleeding. If it is negative and you do not have a proper bleed test again in a weeks time.

thanks for the comment. if that is the case it,means that i need to do a hpt even if i have brown- menstrual like discharge? will it not yield a false positive or negative result?

The only way to know is see your OB or to do a hpt if the pregnancy test is negative wait another week test again
