I would reccomend no bottles or pacifiers for at least 3 weeks after if you are planning on breastfeeding! Eating from a boobie vs bottle are two completely different things and the bottkd is easier. Sometimes babies wont learn to match right due to nipple confusion or they will favor the bottle because it is easier. Wait untill breastfeeding is well established
Also, don't give up! I almost did but am so glad I didn't. Its an amazing experience even through the struggles. Each day counts so go as long as you can! And congratulations!
Yea i was breastfeeding as soon as i had him it just isnt milk but thats what sends the signal to your boobs to fill up with milk is them feeding right away
As above. Your not empty you're making colostrum but only in very small amounts baby doesn't need much for the first few days.
Breastmilk does not appear until you give birth. Just took a breastfeeding class and the delivery of the placenta is what triggers your breasts to make milk. Don't worry mama, it will appear when you delivery your baby. It is normal not to have it yet.
Milk comes in normally 1-3 days after the baby is born before the baby drink colostrum its what you have before milk and does not leak out or is as noticeable as having your milk come in. If you plan on breastfeeding you should talk to the hospitals lactation consultant or if you have a WIC office you can talk to the consultants there. I would do some reasurch so you know a little of what to expect. A lot of new moms stop breastfeeding because of very common issues that most times are easily fixed or are completely normal.
I guess i need to buy a bottles in case my boobs milk come late.
My boobs were empty until today lol 3 days after i had my son now they are huge lol
