38 week check up
Tomorrow is my 38 week check with midwife and can't wait to see if I've progressed at all! I'm praying I have!! I had my show over a week and a half ago and stil nothing!! My baby has measured 2 weeks ahead the whole pregnancy, so I'm kinda frightened that if my baby is at 40 weeks tomorrow and I actually do carry all the way to 40 weeks, that I'm gunna be pushin one big baby out!! Hoping for some good news in the morning :)!
Im from Melbourne and with my first my midwife was amzing, let baby dady find the heart beat, even feel the head when it was down and engaged, she always explained everything, would tell me what position baby was in and where everything was. They dont check for dilation or anything though until your In labour. This time around my midwife *****! Quickly measures and stuff a quick! Listen to the heart, feels baby but doesnt tell me nothing, I had to ask if baby was head down or what, barely even feels my baby. Im in there I believe less theb 5 mins every time! It ***** cause with my first I had amazing care and my appointments were never rushed....
From barnsley in England I just feel like Ive been left out and not told things and that when ive been in hospital the sraff have been too busy to listen to my concerns so I haven't had the right care ir treatment
I like all midwives I'm came in contact with (except my own haha) mine just seems like she doesn't care. I've seen 4 other ones, cos mines always busy doing something else, which I don't mind cos the other ladies are way nicer! Tbh aslong as my baby is healthy, I don't much care what they do ha. My appointments are always very quick! Where are you's from exactly?
I dont even get told how engaged my baby is and when I go to the hospital they never give me answers english midwifes and doctors from my experience are rubbish I never get straight answers
My doctor had to do the swab test thing so I asked while she was down there to do it. Haha so I just got lucky with the timing!
Na they don't do nothing like that here either lol! I'm from northeast. She tells me how engaged baby is and checks my pee, blood pressure and babies heartbeat!
Does your midwife check you for dialation? Mine only listens to babies heartbeat and measures my tummy and feels where my baby is im 37w2d the only time I have been checked for dialation is when ive been in the hospital and my waters have leaked but a doctor checked me im from the uk
Good luck and hopefully you are progressed! I'm 37 weeks and my last visit I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. So I'm hoping in a week or so she is ready to come out!
