Vent. Hear me out.

So im a ftm, im.currently 31w3d and I want to start getting ready for the baby as in setting everything up. I have a gut feeling hes gonna get here sooner than expected. The plan was for us my bf and I to move out this month but since theres always excuses and he cant manage money right we cant. So now we're stuck here with my in laws and we dont havw room to set up a crib which we already have. Hes parwnts say we sont even need a crib because babies are supposed to sleep with the mom untill they're 2 months old which I dont agree.  I know a couple ppl how have killed their baby like that. I feel like no one here understands me because I wonna start getting everything ready. I also go to school and i dont have time, my bf works and I dont want to be stressed out. Like am I wrong for wanting this. I dont understand.

Everyone has an opinion on how to take care of a baby that isn't theirs. My babies slept in a pack and play for the first couple of months. I didn't put them in a crib until later, but they didn't sleep with me. I was scared something could happen to them. & honestly when I had my first child I was sitting in the recliner with her rocking her to sleep (she was about a month old) and we both fell asleep. When we were both sleeping the cover went over her head and I randomly woke up out of a deep sleep and when I uncovered her she was gasping for air and sweating bullets. Scariest thing EVER. I'm having my third baby now and i never have them sleep with me for safety reasons.

I did, & seems like evrytime I bring something up, he gets super angry and just shuts down. I told him that idc how im gonna do it but I will set up the crib because its ridiculous that he doesnt want to do it. And our son will not be sleeping with us. No sir.

I agree with you. No way could I have slept with my baby in the bed with me, I was so terrified of sids I did everything by the current guidelines (will hopefully relax more with this one but couldn't bare the thought of anything happening to him). Plus, its nice to nest and have evrything all set up so you can come home and start using all the great things you've bought for bub. Having to wait would take some of the excitement out of it for me!

I would tell him to get his *** into gear! I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and our whole baby room is set up we have a cot and bassinet for him to sleep in because the baby will definitely not be sleeping with us because its dangerous and once they sleep with you they'll get use to it and it will be hard to get him/her to sleep alone in a cot or bassinet
