Micronor (mini pill) and periods - while breastfeeding exclusively

I've posted this on both the contraception and breastfeeding boards - and received no responses so far.

Does anyone know if I should be expecting a period while taking Micronor (mini BCP) and exclusively BFing?  I'm 10.5 weeks postpartum and have been taking the pill since my 6 week check up.  I'm into my second pack of pills and still haven't had any sort of period.  My postpartum bleeding ended at 7.5 weeks postpartum.

Most likely you won't have one until you stop BFing but even if you do have one it doesn't mean anythign is wrong. Just as some women have periods while exclusively breastfeeding.  It all depends on how your body reacts.  But considering you didn't have a period that last time, I'll bet you won't this time either.

It does, thanks! :-)

The last time, I didn't go on any birth control postpartum....breastfed exclusively for 6 months and didn't get my period until I was finished BFing.  Being on the pill, I just didn't know what to expect.

I don't remember exactly what brand it was, I don't think it was micronor.  But after my oldest son I left the hospital with a script for a progesterone only pill (minipill-pop, whatever you wanna call it).  I breastfed partially for about 4 1/2-5 mos while taking the pill.  I did NOT get my period until about a month after I stopped breastfeeding.

I took camilla (another pop/mini pill) after my last son.  I got the script at my 6 wk check up.  I breastfed exclusively until about 4 months.  Again I did NOT get a period until after I stopped breastfeeding.

Hope this helps.
