Kikii, it'd be a great idea, even at your age, to schedule an appointment with your doctor. I don't think you have cancer. There are many uterine and ovarian cysts that are benign (non-cancerous) that can affect your period.

I have a condition called PCOS- polycystic ovarian syndrome. I have tiny cysts on my ovaries (hence the name: poly=many and cystic=cysts). These are not cancerous but they can affect many womens' cycles. Thankfully I caught my condition early so I don't have *all* the problems associated with PCOS.

Some problems associated with it include irregular periods (maybe 3-4 periods a year), anovulation (cannot have a baby), insulin resistance, overweight/obesity, etc. And all you need to do to treat it is lose weight and take a medication.

While you may not have the condition that I have, it's important to find out. Especially if you want to have babies someday! So please, go see the doctor and present your concerns. Make sure you tell them EVERYTHING you're experiencing.

This is what you NEED to ask for: blood test to check your thyroid and hormones & a sonogram to see if there are any cysts or fibroids.

Message me anytime if you have any questions or need support! And I hope you stick around here so you can learn more about your cycles.

hey, thanks. :) i'm going to see if my mom will take me. if thats the case, then i'm fine!
i guess everyone goes through their phases where they think that they are pregnant. its just.. seriously 3 months without a period? my dad thinks i have a cist on my uterous ( i can't spell that word to save my life ) which can turn into cancer which of course stops your periods. my mom had that, and she had to have it removed, so now she can't have babies. :(

well you shouldnt worry it causes your periods to be late and you stress even more then its not good so wait till your next period is due again and then try for a hpt have you been eating regular etc...but if you had unpretected sex in the past month then you may be but your young so try not to stress about it too much

At age 17 your still so young and your cycles WILL NOT be regular..... it could just be your body trying to regulate your cycle.... sometimes the body does weird things.... I would say if you went to the dr and he said your not pregnant and you took 4 home pregnancy test then your probably not preggo

Sometimes you can make your body think that you are pregnant. You know mind over matter. I had this happen to me this year and I had to go to my OB and get checked out and for some reason my body wasn't producing the hormones that my body needed and that's why I wasn;t having my periods. I had to get hormone pills and get it regular again.
So maybe you should go see an OB.
