My Birth Story. New Year's Eve Baby!

I started getting contractions that were waking me up but I was able to fall back asleep with them the night of the 30th. I woke up at 5:45 am on the 31st to use the bathroom and my water broke. Contractions started getting stronger and I called my midwife at 7. I labored at home until until 11:15 am, lost my mucus plug and had my bloody show, and then contractions were 2-4 minutes apart so we went to the hospital. I went to triage and got checked by my midwife. I was 4 1/2 cm dialated and 100% effaced. They admitted me right away and started prepping me for my epidural. I was in my room and had my epidural by 12:15. Epidural was amazing! Midwife checked me again and I was at 6 cm. At 2 pm I felt pressure. She checked me again and I was at 9 cm and she said I could just push past the last cm, so I started pushing. Our baby girl was born at 2:19 pm perfectly healthy and screaming right away. Everything went amazing and we couldn't be happier. :)
